YOUR ROLE:
We are looking for an Art Production Assistant to execute the day-to-day tasks on set and in office across our multiple studios. Reporting directly to the Production Designer, the Art Production Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the physical execution of staging, set builds, prop and set material transport, organization and maintenance, handling release forms and paperwork, and any office duties and tasks requested by the Production team.
Our ideal candidate has relevant TV/Film production assistant experience, and has a solid understanding of set staging, logistics and operations. The ideal candidate is a pro-active problem solver who can confidently execute tasks. This role requires someone comfortable working both independently and collaboratively, and can manage high-volume workloads. This is a hands-on position that interacts closely and frequently with various high level crew members and office staff, therefore strong interpersonal skills, time management and critical thinking competencies are crucial.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the Production Designer and general crew in the day-to-day execution of set builds, production staging, and striking as needed
Assist with general runs, pick-ups, and drop-off as delegated by the Production office staff
Research, source, acquire, track and manage in-house as well as external set materials
Drive light to medium commercial trucks
Organize production department resources and prop inventory
Assist the Production Designer and Set Design Team with pre-production research and development for production looks, styles, and supplies in order to build and maintain an expansive supplier Rolodex
Compile, track and manage purchases, invoices, and receipts
Check in/out props for all shoots, including returning them to their proper bin/shelf
Assist with logging new props as they are purchased
Ensure sets are equipped with all necessary items and stock inventory
Adhere to the production schedule to ensure cost-effective and timely production builds
Assist with load in/out of shoot locations
Read and interpret treatments/outlines/scripts/shot lists and storyboards in order to itemize, organize and coordinate Art Department contributions to the production
When required, serve as a stand-in to oversee on-set Art Direction, by working in tandem with Set Designers, Construction crew, Stylists, Directors, and production crew to ensure pre-established requirements are seen through and are in line with the visual references and treatments for the project
Contribute to a positive work and on set experience with team members and talent
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AS ON PER-NEEDED BASIS:
Arrange crew meals on set
Serve as point person to receive talent on set
Help prepare the set with lights, equipment, furniture, etc.
Assist with talent paperwork

Job requirements
YOU:
2-3 years Relevant TV/Film production assistant experience
Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record a MUST
Comfortable driving personal vehicle, production vans and box trucks up to 24 ft.
Availability to work weekends and long on set production days
Understands the principles of set building and staging
Intermediate experience using Adobe Suite, Google Suite, and other production-related software
Solution oriented communicator
Strong organizational skills
Exercises good judgment and decision making
Maintain confidentiality over all matters and proprietary information
General handyman skills - painting, drywall, carpentry, etc. a plus
