We are looking for a qualified and experienced Controller to oversee the accounting and payroll activities of our organization and its subsidiaries. The successful candidate will be responsible for oversight of accounting operations, production of periodic financial reports and maintenance of accounting records from multiple systems.  The ideal candidate will be able to make recommendations on the continued scaling of infrastructure within the company and contribute towards a framework for growth that includes processes, staff and systems.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

  • CPA candidates preferred

  • 10 years of progressive accounting experience 

  • Experience using a diverse range of accounting tools and platforms including Quickbooks

  • Production accounting & content amortization experience a plus



  • Maintain accounting policy and procedure
  • Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including working with existing bookkeepers and hiring of adequate staff to achieve the company's goals and objectives
  • Oversee the accounting operations of subsidiaries, including their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies & procedures.


  • Efficient management of A/R & A/P
  • Process payroll in coordination with the HR manager
  • Ensure completion of periodic bank reconciliations
  • Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions


  • Generate timely and complete financial statements to management
  • Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations


  • Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics
  • Manage the production of the annual budget
  • Monitor variances from the budget and report significant issues to management
  • Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations


  • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings


  • This is a full-time position (exempt), Monday-Friday, 9AM-6PM. 
  • Occasionally, additional hours may be needed during tax and high production season.
