At Kodify we manage several high traffic web platforms developed using the latest technologies and we work hard to provide the best experience for our users.

We are seeking a talented and motivated Data Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, proficiency in Data Visualization, SQL, and Python, as well as a keen interest in staying updated with advancements in artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies. As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to provide actionable insights that drive business decisions.

Company-wide, we are an international team of about 150 with 20 different nationalities, spread around the world in our different office locations: Barcelona, Altea, Montréal, Los Angeles and several other European countries for the team that works remotely. We are a profitable and stable business running for more than 15 years, and we are not a start-up or a VC funded company.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Extract, clean, and analyze data from various sources using SQL and Python.
  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations in Tableau to effectively communicate insights and findings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
  • Conduct statistical analyses and predictive modeling to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI technologies and incorporate relevant techniques into data analysis processes.
  • Assess and evaluate AI and ML tools and techniques, including but not limited to algorithm selection, model evaluation, and deployment strategies.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Job requirements

  • Proven working experience as a data scientist, ML engineer, or data engineer.
  • Knowledge or willingness to learn training and deployment for LLM and forecasting technologies.
  • Ability to write and document clean Python code and ability to assess ETL/ETL and ML/AI libraries.
  • Technical expertise on ETL or ELT deployments: Pandas, Polars, dbt.
  • Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and MySQL databases querying.
  • Knowledge of vector databases.
  • Experience with Docker.
  • Knowledge or willingness to learn model deployment on GCP or AWS.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools is desired: Qlik, PowerBI, or Tableau.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Motivated team player with the ability to interact effectively with different team cultures.
  • Excellent communicator and facilitator with good spoken, written and presentation skills.
