YOUR ROLE: 

We are looking for an experienced Part-Time Production Assistant to help all aspects of content production run as smoothly and efficiently as possible, both on set and in office. The ideal candidate has an innate passion for TV/film production and thrives in fast-paced environments. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and a strong communicator who is able to handle a myriad of responsibilities. Reporting directly to the Line Producer, the Production Assistant will be the first on set and the last to leave. They will be responsible for various crucial tasks, from moving heavy equipment and furniture, organizing sets, administering paperwork, and any other tasks requested by the Production Department. They work closely with crew members, ranging from Directors, to Equipment Managers, Producers, and Talent. They take feedback constructively and contribute to a positive environment of clear communication and accountability. This is a fast-paced, dynamic, and high-volume position that requires a proactive problem-solver who is able to take instructions, pivot when necessary, and

exercise good judgment.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Help prepare the set with lights, props, equipment, furniture, etc.

  • Arrange crew meals on set

  • Point person to receive talent on set and assist in providing a positive experience

  • Maintain a clean and organized set

  • Participate in set builds to ensure deadlines are met

  • Minor repairs to shoot locations as needed

  • Assist with load in/out of shoot locations

  • Help maintain inventory of production supplies, craft services, etc.

  • Assist all departments as needed both on and off set, including administrative duties

  • Undertake errands and various runs as assigned, including shuttling crew and talent to and from set

Job requirements

  • 1-2 years previous production experience required.

  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record a MUST

  • Comfortable driving personal vehicle, production vans and box trucks up to 24’

  • Availability to work weekends and long on set production days

  • Must be proactive and able to anticipate the on set needs of all talent, crew and Director at all times

  • Demonstrate keen attention to detail

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Team player, “can do” attitude and ability to problem solve

  • Strong people skills and ability to engage on all levels of the organization, external contacts and talent

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a very fast-paced production environment

  • General computer and computer software skills - G-Suite, Slack, MS Office

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

  • Capable of lifting a minimum of 50 lbs and moving heavy equipment, furniture, props, etc.

  • Maintain confidentiality over all matters and proprietary information

  • General handyman skills - painting, drywall, carpentry, etc. a plus
